George Washington Bean (1831-1897) was born in Illinois. He descended from members of Clan MacBean who had inhabited the highlands of Scotland. Members of the MacBeans had settled first in Ulster and then traveled to America where they eventually settled in Kentucky. George and his father's family joined the LDS Church and later emigrated to Utah. George married three wives and was the father of thirty children.

Alexander Eslick, parents unknown, was born 26 Dec 1797, in New Jersey. He married Hannah Coleman/Coalman, daughter of John Coleman and Mary, on 8 Sep 1827, in Monmouth County, New Jersey. They had 7 children. Alexander died after 1844 and Hannah died 12 Sep 1880 in Bordentown, New Jersey. Their descendants have lived in New Jersey, California, Alaska, Texas, Washington, and other areas in the United States.
