Edward Cook (1760-1842) was born in Orange County, North Carolina, and served in the Revolutionary War. He and his family later moved to Rutherford County and later to Cleveland County, North Carolina. Ransom Cook (d.1831), probably with the same ancestry as Edward, moved from Chatham County to Rowan (now Davidson) County, North Carolina about 1800. Description
John Pruett was born in about 1755 in Bedford County, Virginia. His parents were Henry Pruett and Rebecca. He married Eady Spencer in 1778. They had seven children. John served in the Revolutionary War. He died in 1837 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived in North Carolina, Texas, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Nebraska, Virginia, Tennessee, Missouri, Washington, Oregon, Oklahoma, California and elsewhere.
