Description
George Bullard (1608-1688) emigrated from England to America in 1644. He and his wife, Beatrice, were married in 1660 and settled at Watertown, Massachusetts. Record follows line of descendant to Catherine Bullard. She was born in 1883 at Oakham, Massachusetts, the daughter of Henry Dexter Bullard (b. 1859). She married Frank Willard Grimes of Boston in 1902. They had three children, She married 2) Edward H. Fellows of Boston in 1929.

Description
John Bullard was born in South Carolina about 1796. He fought in the War of 1812 and soon afterwards married Rebecca Fortenbury Bumgarner. They were the parents of eight children. Information on their Bumgarner descendants, especially those of their son Calvin is given in this volume. Their descendants gradually moved west living in Tennessee, and on into Texas. Today descendants live in Texas and elsewhere.

John Ainsworth Hurlburt was born in Weybridge, Vermont and later moved to California He married Mary Lillian Hicks. Hurlburt ancestry is traced to John Hurlburt of Massachusetts who married Philippa Ameron in 1759 and settled in Vermont. Ayres ancestry is traced to John Ayres (ca. 1615-1675) of England and Massachusetts. Buller/Bullards are traced to Barnhan, England, Massachusetts, and Vermont.

Robert Bullard (ca.1599-1639) and his family emigrated from England to Watertown, Massachusetts. Artemas Bullard (1768-1842), direct descendant in the sixth generation, moved from Holliston to Northbridge and then to Sutton, Massachusetts. He married twice. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Louisiana and elsewhere.

John Sevier Henley was born 12 March 1802. He married Mary Gleaves Siler (1810-1837). They had three children. He married Mary Ann Elizabeth Patton (d. 1839) in 1838. They had one child. He married Minerva Caroline McEntire (1818-1867) in 1842. They had eight children. He died in 1865. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Georgia and Texas.

Nathaniel Whiting was living at Salem, Massachusetts, by 1638. He married Hannah Dwight, daughter of John and Hannah Dwight, at Dedham, Massachusetts, in 1643. They had fourteen children, 1644- 1672. He died at Dedham in 1682. Descendants listed lived in Massachusetts and elsewhere.
Includes the Bullard, Draper, Fisher, Metcalf and other related families.

John Fowler was a revolutionary soldier who died in Pike County, Alabama ca.1845 when he was almost 100 years old. He was the son of Daniel Fowler and Mary Jane Rollins. His revolutionary pension file says he was born in 1747 in Sampson (then Duplin) County in North Carolina where he lived when he joined, as a priviate, a company of minute men of which Richard Clinton was captian. John Bullard (1601/1602-1678) and his family emigrated from England to Dedham, Massachusetts, later moving to Medfield, Massachusetts. Descendants lived in Massachusetts, New York and elsewhere. Some descendants immigrated to Ontario, and some of these probably became converts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Knox County, Illinois.
