Walter Ker was born in 1656 in Scotland, where he was a parishioner in the Dalsert, Lanarkshire parish. He and his wife Margaret emigrated to America in 1685. Charles Hyatt (d.1726) married Sarah Tewksbury and lived in Prince George's County, Maryland. Descendants and relatives lived in Maryland, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Washington, Florida and elsewhere. Some descendants became members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and moved to Utah, Idaho, Arizona, California and elsewhere.
