Biography of Jabez Bunting (1779-1858)--son of William Bunting and Mary Redfern--who became a Mehtodist minister, serving twice in London, Manchester, and Liverpool (and once in several other localities). He also served in the first presidency of the annual Methodist Conferences. He married Sarah Maclardie in 1804.

Job Bunting is probably the lineal ancestor of the author of this work. He immigrated from Derbyshire, England, in 1677 or 1678 and settled in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Lineal descendants of Job Bunting are listed. The majority of this publication is an autobiography of the author, Maury Bunting, including many historical events in Nebraska and the Nation and personal travel around the world in the late 1800's.

Description
Samuel Bunting was born in Derbyshire, England, in 1692, the son of William and Mary Bunting and grandson of Anthony and Ellen Bunting. He immigrated to America and settled at Darby, Pennsylvania, in 1722. He married Sarah Fearne, daughter of Josiah and Sarah Fearne in 1727. They had seven children. He died in 1758.
Includes the Blunston, Laycock, Fearne, and other related families.

Thomas H. Neal (1820/1822-1863) married Hannah Shuter, and immigrated from England to Illinois. He served in the Civil War and died ". . . while serving as a nurse in the hospital and is buried in the National Cemetery at Memphis, Tennessee." Descendants lived chiefly in the northern midwest.
