Georgiana Schultz Thompson (1854-1919) was the daughter of George Fountain Thompson (1813-1894) and Elizabeth Schultz, born at Mariners Harbor, Staten Island, New York. She was a direct descendant in the eighth generation of Thomas Tomson (d.1675), who immigrated in 1634 from England to Lynn, Massachusetts and later moved to Elizabethtown, New Jersey. She married Thomas Wilson Butts (1851-1932) in Cattaraugus County, New York, and they had nine children....

Zachariah Flagler settled in Dutchess County in 1709 from Germany. Allert Henricksen Ploeg married Rachel Pier in Kingston, New York, 1699. Children of Patrick Scott of Ulster or Albany, New York were born between 1689-1699. Jacob Stover of Dutchess County, New York died in 1779. William Turner married Abigail Bogaert in 1702 in Albany County, New York. Descendants of these various families lived primarily in New York and Ontario, Canada.

Hugo Freer, the earliest known ancestor, was probably born in Normandy. He died 1698 in New Paltz, N.Y. He was married to Marie Haye, who died 1676 in Hurley. He married (2) Jannetje Wibau (d. 1693). Hugo, his wife, Marie and their three sons came to New Amsterdam in 1676 and settled at Hurley. Descendants live in New York, Michigan, Ohio, Canada and elsewhere.
