The founder of this line of Burlesons was Isaac Burleson (b. ca. 1750, d. ca. 1830), who was born either in Lunenburg Co., Va. or Cumberland Co., North Carolina. He married Martha (Clay?) ca. 1778. They had eight children born in Montgomery Co., North Carolina. Family members live in North Carolina, Texas and elsewhere.
