Omar Ruskin Burns, son of Samuel Newton Burns (1850-1931) and Catherine Mahala Wheeler (1867-1911), was born in 1885 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He married Clara Edith Gockel (1882-1935), daughter of Thomas Ramsey Gockel and Rose Morgan, in 1913. He died in 1971 in Anniston, Alabama. They had one son, Francis Ramsey Burns. He married Mary Patton Newell Garrett (1881-1966), widow of Henry Oliver Garrett, in 1937.

Charles Burns married Mary Webb and Ann. He died in 1789 in Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia and Kentucky.

John Burns was born in about 1735 to 1740. He married Mary Scurlock and they had nine children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia and North Carolina.
