Description
Harman Blennerhassett emigrated from England to West Virginia in 1796. He purchased several hundred acres on Backus Island in the Ohio River adjacent to Wood County, West Virginia, and built a mansion which was known as Blennerhassett Island. He later lost the mansion and his fortune due to his involvement in the Burr Conspiracy, as well as notoriety of personal and family scandal.

George P. Bent was born in 1854 at Dundee, Illinois. He was the son of George Bent, born 1827 in Middleburg, Vermont and Mary Priscilla Payne, born in 1825 at Bridgeport, Vermont. He married Clara Ames Wingate and lived in Illinois, Missouri, and California.

Description
Descendants of Quaker settler, Henry Burr, who was born in England in 1662. He immigrated to America in 1682 on the ship Welcome. He landed in New Castle, Delaware, and bought land and settled near Mount Holly, New Jersey. He was married to Elizabeth Hudson, also born in England in 1667. He died in 1742. They had four children: John, Joseph, Elizabeth and Martha. Descendants lived in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut and elsewhere.

Thomas Burr, son of Jonathan Burr, was born in 1735 in Hingham, Massachusetts. He married Margaret Fearing (1742-1821), daughter of Hawkes Fearing, 22 August 1759. They had five children. He fought in the American Revolution. He died in 1812. Includes Studley and related families.
