Descendants of Benjiman Frank Burrows (1835-1892) born in Fayette Co., Tennessee. He married (1) Mary (Burrows) Elder (1833-1860) 1851 in Fayette Co., Tenn. They had three sons: Adolphus E., William Jefferson and John Hamilton. He married (2) Matilda (Burrows) Young (b. 1833). They had two sons: Phillip Hiliary and Alfred Young. Descendants live in Tennessee, Arkansas, California, Illinois and elsewhere. Includes indexes after each chapter.

William Cowan (ca. 1809-1869) was born in Armagh, Ireland and came to Canada ca. 1839 where he died in Egremont Township, Grey County, Ontario. He married Mary Moloy (ca. 1800-1884) and their descendants live throughout Canada, Maryland, and elsewhere.

John Burrows (d. 1628) came to Jamestown Colony in 1611 and married Bridget Buck. James Henry Burriss I (1784-1867) married Elizabeth Newton (1787-1829); they were long-time residents of Federal Point, North Carolina. Four Newton brothers had come to New Hanover County, North Carolina from the Barbados in the early 1700s. Elizabeth Newton's ancestor is Joseph Newton Sr. (1706-1787), who married Sarah Hewitt of Brunswick County, North Carolina.

Alexander Klinger (1726-1802) married Ann Elizabeth Geiss in 1748, and they emigrated in 1749 from Germany to Berks County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Washington, Oregon and elsewhere.

Pierre Jacqes de Roquemore immigrated from England in 1764. Edward Lacy settled in Chesapeake Bay before 1739. Baron von Pfoutz (John Michael Fouts) arrived in 1727. Karoline, daughter of Traugott Wantke married Zollestin Pochmann. Hiram Muck Burrows was born in Kentucky. All of these families migrated to Texas and intermarried.
