Electa Allen was born 21 November 1783 in Northampton, Massachusetts. Her parents were Elijah Allen (1754-1830) and Keziah Wright (1756-1825). She married Isaac Goodale 21 December 1812 in Northampton. They had eight children. Isaac Newton Goodale (1815-1890) was their second child. He married 2) Mrs. Mary Goldsmigh, widow of Richard Goldsmith, in 1674. John Abbe died at Salem, Massachusetts. Descendants listed lived in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York and elsewhere. The surname is spelled Abbe, Abbey, Abby, and Abbay.
