Reginald Nelson Burt was born in 1892 in Brigham City, Utah. His parents were Thomas Albert Burt (1866-1939) and Ingeborg Lenora Nelson (1870-1954). He married Mary Amelia Wight (1894-1996), daughter of Thaddeus Wight (1854-1927) and Harriet Elizabeth Wight (1863-1958), in 1916 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had seven children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Utah, New York and Denmark.

Elizabeth Snowball was born 27 June 1846 in Bedlingham, Northumberland, England. Her parents were Thomas Snowball and Elizabeth Garr. They emigrated in 1854. Her parents and a sister died traveling across the plains. She settled in Utah with her remaining siblings. She married John Daivdson Burt (1827-1906).

Ethel Verna Hackworth was born 22 November 1902 in Bedford County, Virginia. Her parents were Edgar Elster Hackworth and Nannie Dickerson Tuck. She married Will Burt, son of Charles Fredrick Tuck and Eunice Ermina Angell, 5 June 1920 in St. Anthony, Idaho. They had eight children. She died in 1965. Clara Belle Burt, daughter of Joseph Burt, was born 8 December 1874. She married William Henry Poast in 1896. They had two children. Their son, Robert Herman Poast, was born 31 July 1898 in Morrow County, Ohio. Robert married Grace Rebecca Baird, daughter of George Lemuel Baird and Mary Sylvia Cox, and they had six children. Grace died in 1929 and Robert died in 1935. Clara raised her orphaned grandchildren in Iberia, Ohio.
