Hinrich Busch was born 14 August 1866 in Fredeshof, Holstein, Germany. His parents were Claus and Catherine Busch. He emigrated in 1882 with his mother and his brother Theodore. They settled in Tama County, Iowa. He married Bertha Fuerstenberg in 1885 in Chicago. They had ten children. His brother Theodore married Bertha's sister, Emma. Descendants and relatives lived in Iowa, Illinois, California and elsewhere.
