Primarily the descendants of Nathan Byars who was born in 1749 in Granville County, North Carolina and died 18 August 1846 in Spartanburg District, South Carolina. He married (1) Drucilla Harrelson (ca. 1743-ca. 1818), daughter of Burgess and Elizabeth Harrelson, after 1772. They had ten children. He married (2) Delphy Logan 8 October 1819. They had one child. Descendants lived mainly in North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Illinois and Missouri.

Michael Boyer (1690/1700-ca.1761) lived near Richmond, in Fredericksburg in Frederick County, and then in Augusta County, Virginia. He was father to at least twelve children. Thomas Wilson Cantrell (1847-1922) was born in Paulding County, Georgia to James Cantrell (1802-1873) and Mary "Mollie" Sarah Harrison Thurmond (1810-1895). In 1875 Thomas married Saphronia Rebecca Waldrop (1855-1894) and they became the parents of ten children. He married a second time and fathered six more children. Descendants live in Georgia and other parts of the United States.

After his Revolutionary War service, he moved to Rutherford County, North Carolina and then to Spartanburg District, South Carolina, and married twice.
