Byram Lee Bybee, son of John Bybee and Elizabeth Kelly, was born in 1799, in Barren County, Kentucky. He married Elizabeth Ann (Betsy) Lane, daughter of Robert David Lane and Mary (Polly) Chapman, in 1820. They had ten children. He died in 1864 in Grafton, Utah.

Julia was born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, daughter of Robert Emmet and Sarah Fergueson Miller. Benjamin Howell (1794-1886) was born in New Jersey and married Elizabeth Mathews (1805-87) in 1827. Martin Wright (1767-1826) was a descendant of Benjamin Wright, who immigrated from England to Guilford on the Connecticut Shore of Long Island Sound before 1645. He married Dolly Benjamin (1765-1848) in 1792. In 1850, their son, Josiah, moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa and later to Utah. Descendants include members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
