George Bye and his wife, Elizabeth Ford, were the English ancestors of George Charles Bye who married Arabella Field in England and came to America through the port of New Oreleans and moved up the Mississippi to Crawford County, Indiana before the end of 1851.

John Pettit married Mary Hallett, the granddaughter of William Hallett (Hallett was an immigrant from England to Greenwich, Connecticut, who later moved to Newtown, Long Island). William Pettit, Sr. (1726- 1801), son of John and Mary, married twice and moved from New York to Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
