David Carlile (1780-1860) was a native of Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. He came to Newton Township in Trumbull County, Ohio in 1806. His second wife was Ann Davison (1784-1856). Both died in Newton Township. Ann was the daughter of Benjamin Davison of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. Descendants lived in Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere.

Bert Giles (1890-1945), a son of George Thomas Giles and Sarah Daybell Giles, was born in Heber, Utah. He married Cleo Thorne (1892-1956), a daughter of James Thomas Thorne and Minetta Permelia Brown, in 1912. They had five children. Descendants are in California and Utah. Anne Jane Hamill (1775-1864), daughter of David Hamill and Martha Armstrong, was born at Rooskey, County Monaghan, Ireland, and was of French Huguenot lineage. She married Francis Carlile in 1800, and lived in Bailieborough, County Monaghan. Thomas Axtell, son of William Axtell, was baptized 26 January 1619 in Berkhamstead, Hertfordshire, England. He married Mary in about 1638. They had three children.
