Description
The author has discovered many variations of Carlin in Ireland, as well as France, Scandinavia, Germany, even Italy. He has analized the variant forms in Ireland and concludes that the Carlins probably originated from at least three sources: ancient Celts, the Viking invasion of Ireland, and possibly the immigration of Huguenots and Germans into Ireland.
