Sven Anderson, born June 7, 1842 in Larv, Sweden, son of Samuel Anderson and Mary Gustavson. Sven married Anna Anderson in Larv on January 4, 1865. He came to America in 1869 and sent for Anna and son, Carl Albert in 1871. They settled in Marshall township, a few miles outside of Austin, Minnesota. The couple had eight children born to them. Sven August Carlson emigrated from Sweden to Denmark. In Denmark he married Hulda Paulsen and in 1911 with a grown family, traveled to Winnipeg, Manitoba. The family homesteaded a place which later was officially named Spearhill. Except for a few years in Winnipeg and a few years in Toronto, Sven and Hulda lived in Spearhill all of their lives.
