Description
Jacob Crissey was born in the Palatine area of Germany, immigrated in 1732, and died by 1783. He married Esther Miller. They had two children: Jacob Crissey and Catherine Crissey Casebier. Their grandson, Jacob III, settled in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, around 1800. Includes Lambert and Brugan families.

Description
The earliest known ancestor of the Helsley family was Jacob Helsley, Sr. who died in 1799. He was the father of six children and lived in Rowan County, North Carolina. It appears that Jacob was originally from the Alsace-Lorraine area of central Europe and had spelled his surname Höltzel. Jacob's three eldest sons moved to Muhlenburg County, Kentucky by 1810. Their many descendants live in Kentucky.

Samuel Craig, son of James Craig and Janet Wetherow, was born ca. 1776 in Loudoun County, Virginia. He married Mary Hughes on 13 Oct 1796. After Mary's death, he married Mary "Polly" Major on 22 Mar 1823 in Hopkins County, Kentucky. Samuel died 8 Sep 1842 near Hanson, Kentucky.
