Benjamin Rush was born 3 February ca. 1717 in King George County, Virginia and died 23 May 1801 in Cape Fear River, North Carolina. He married (1) Amy. He married (2) Alice Grigsby, daughter of William Grigsby and Ursula Mann 1 April 1744 in Overwharton Parish, Stafford, Virginia. They had twelve known children. He married (3) Elizabeth.
