Description
Jacob Snyder, son of Jacob Snider and Margaret, married Catherine Potstetter, daughter of Abraham Potstetter and Catherine, in 1783 in Hagerstown, Maryland. They had nine children. He died in Snake Spring Township, Bedford County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania and Virginia.

William Jackson Mikesell, son of John Huff Mikesell and Phoebe Burch (d. 1869), was born in 1823 in Montgomery County, Ohio. His family moved to Indiana in 1835 and to Iowa in 1842. He married Hannah Phoebe Alley, daughter of Elihu Alley, in 1852. They had six children. They settled in Rawlins County, Kansas in 1879. He died in 1911 in Atwood, Kansas.

John Calvin Kagarice (1850-1933) married Mary Clapper in Bedford County, Pennsylvania, and moved in 1887 to Barton County, Kansas, moving later to Reno County, Kansas. Descendants lived in Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona and elsewhere. Kagarice and Clapper ancestors lived in Pennsylvania, Germany and Switzerland.

George Steele (ca. 1740-1802) and his wife, Margaret Doleman, had seven children. The family lived in Hopewell Township, Bedford County, Pennsylvania, on an island in the Janiata river. He died and was buried on the island. Descendants listed lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and elsewhere.

William Arley Gardner, son of Walter Nathan Gardner and Mary Eliza Latham, was born 4 Nov 1872. He married Bertha Millicent Cassler, daughter of Lafayette Cassler and Melvina Amelia Weaver, on 9 Sep 1897 in Cooke County, Texas. They had 5 children. William died 10 July 1933 in Gainesville, Cooke County, Texas, and Bertha died 27 Sep 1947 in Dallas, Texas. Some of their descendants and ancestors are listed in this history.

He married 1833 Elizabeth Kettenring (1814-1883), a daughter of Johann Peter Kettenring, at Herschberg, District Pirmasens, Germany. Benjamin Hall (1823-1901), son of Thomas and Eliza C. Hall, married Catharine Price (1828-1906) at Trevethic in 1847. She was born in Trevethic, daughter of John and Ann (Jones) Price. Benjamin and his brother, Thomas, immigrated in 1849 and settled in Yellow Creek, Pennsylvania where he was joined the following year by Catharine and family from Wales. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Missouri, Michigan, and elsewhere.

Adam Beach was born 24 December 1825, probably in Odisburg, Germany. He married Elizabeth Hoover Brumbaugh Lynn, widow of Isaac Lynn, in about 1850. Elizabeth had two children from her first marriage. Adam and Elizabeth had seven children. Adam died 25 August 1867. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania.
