Description
James Claypoole was born in England in 1634. He married Helena Mercer in Germany. He emigrated in 1683 and settled in Pennsylvania. Thomas Evans was born in 1651 in Fron Goch, Landderfel, Merioneth, Wales. He married Ann. He emigrated in 1697 and settled in Pennsylvania. Their ancestral lines lines converge at Edward I of England. Both are ancestors of the author. Royal ancestral lines are listed alphabetically by family surname.

Description
Henry Pratt, the son of Henry Pratt of London, was a captain of a London ship in the American trade. He married Hannah Hobart in Boston. They had three children. Henry Pratt, their son, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 30 April 1708. He married Rebecca Claypoole (1711-1762), daughter of Joseph Claypoole, 1 May 1729, in Philadelphia. They had ten children. He died 31 July 1749.
