Arthur Jones (1630-1692) was born in Gloucester, England and became a merchant. He moved with his family to Virginia in about 1663 and later moved to Bermuda where he died in 1692. He was the father of at least four children who settled in Virginia and Bermuda. Their descendants moved to North Carolina, Tennessee and other southern the states and presently live throughout the United States.
