Jacob Coffman (Kaufman) lived in Germany. His son Henry immigrated to the United States and settled in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. He married Elizabeth Robinson and they had nine children. Traces line of descent to Cora Coffman and her children by her first husband, Leslie Hawker.

John Dake was born in Virginia in 1789. He married Catherine Bowman in 1820. She was the daughter of Daniel and Ann Coffman. They moved to Moral Township, Shelby County, Indiana in 1828 and settled there. Catherine died in 1853 and John died in 1862. They had 11 children. Their descendants settled in Indiana, Florida, Arizona, Texas and elsewhere.

Johann Martin Borntraeger (b.1723) married Anna Elizabeth Hanauer, immigrated from Germany to Switzerland, and in 1767 the family immigrated to Philadelphia, settling near Meyersdale in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
