Johannes Kraud/Kraut/Crout, Sr. was born ca. 1744 and died before 1820. He was buried at Old Homeplace, Hollow Creek, Lexington County, South Caroline. His wife's maiden name is unknown. There were five children of record. His wife died between 1820-1830 and was buried in the same community as indicated for Johannes above.

Carolyn Jane Greer was born 27 May 1922 in Pella, Iowa. Her parents were Thomas Nathaniel Greer (1896-1975) and Sarah Clementine Hampton (1896-1962). She married Howard E. Beal (b. 1917) 2 June 1940 in Nevada, Iowa. Carolyn died 1998. Ancestors of Carolyn and Howard have lived mainly in Iowa, Missouri, Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee.

Descendants of Sebastian Horn (1732-1805), who was born in Germany. He married (1) Lana Fritz, (2) Miss Hawkins. He took the Oath of Allegiance at Philadelphia, Pa. in 1753, having arrived a few days earlier on the Neptune from Rotterdam, Holland. He settled in Springfield, Bucks Co., Pennsylvania. Descendants live in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and elsewhere.

Thomas Coffey was born 7 March 1742 in Essex County, Virginia, the son of John and Jane Coffey. His grandfather Coffey came from Ireland to Liverpool then immigrated to Essex County, Virginia in about 1690. Thomas married twice, first to Elisabeth Smith, and second to Sarah Fields.
