Description
The authors found the Ketchum Cemetery first mentioned in land records as part of a 40-acre land allotment to Mary Stephenson, age 3, a member of the Cherokee Nation. The cemetery later became known as the Willow Springs cemetery. In 1939, the Grand River Dam Authority acquired adjacent land and relocated a few other cemeteries there. The Willow Springs Cemetery eventually contained 4 sections and was renamed as the Ketchum Cemetery.
