Thomas Bartholome (b.ca.1730) emigrated from Alsace-Lorraine or Holland to Cresaptown, Maryland and married three times. He was the father of Michael Bartholow (1770-1843) and of Valentine ("Felty") Bartholow (b.ca.1756). Descendants and relatives lived in Maryland, Virginia, Ohio and elsewhere in the midwest, California and elsewhere. Some descendants immigrated to Ontario, Alberta and elsewhere in Canada.
