Joseph Glick was born 1 September 1799 near Hudson's Crossroads, Shenandoah County, Virginia, to Elder John and Elizabeth Bauserman Glick. Joseph and his wife Susan Wampler appear to have been married by the year 1826. In 1857 the Glick's moved near Mound City, Holt County, Missouri.
