Johannes Leinbach, Sr. was born 9 March 1674 in Langenselbold, Hessen, Germany. He married Anna Elisabeth Kleiss 2 October 1700 in Altenhasslau, Germany. They had seven children. They emigrated in 1723 and settled in Berks County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, Kentucky and Indiana.

William Elston Collings (1758-1828) and his wife, Phoebe Haugland, with their family lived at Pigeon Roost, Scott County, Indiana. They, along with the entire community, were subjects of the Indian massacre of 3 September, 1812. Joseph Glick was born 1 September 1799 near Hudson's Crossroads, Shenandoah County, Virginia, to Elder John and Elizabeth Bauserman Glick. Joseph and his wife Susan Wampler appear to have been married by the year 1826. In 1857 the Glick's moved near Mound City, Holt County, Missouri.
