Joseph Cal Crump was born 5 May 1929 in Lark, Utah. His parents were Reynold Clyde Crump and Lavon Bagnell. He married Gwen Sandstrom (b. 1932), daughter of Jessie Wilford Sandstrom and Lillis Mary Oberg, 20 June 1951 in Salt Lake City. They had four children. Cal served in the Navy from 1951 to 1953. He worked as a teacher, counselor and coach at Bingham High School for thirty-six years. He retired in 1990.

Lavon Bagnell Crump was born in Coalville, Summit County, Utah, daughter of William and Gertrude Valate Huffman Bagnell. She married Clyde Crump in 1924. Her grandfather, John Bagnell (1823-1893), was born in Newton upon Ayr, Scotland. He married Charlotte Swainston (1842-1931) who had been born in Yorkshire, England. They joined the L.D.S. Peter Solomon Limbaugh (1843-1904), son of Richmond C. and Elizabeth Branch Limbaugh, married Catherine Rowena (Roena) Tyler (1843-ca. 1883) in 1866. Descendants and relatives lived in Alabama and elsewhere.

Robert Dansie was born in 1825 in Boxford, Suffolk, England and married Charlotte Rudland in 1849. They became converts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and immigrated in 1862 (she died en route) to Salt Lake City. He died in 1896, having married twice more. Includes Crump, Silcock, Heath, Bebbington and related families.

John Boyd, parents not listed, was born about 1750 in Virginia. He married Ann, parents not listed before 1777. They had one child. John died before 1811, probably in Missouri. His descendants have lived in Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, and other areas in the United States.

Closs Thompson, Sr. was born in about 1729 in Pennsylvania. He married Jane Jones Lee, a widow with two children, in 1759 in Rowan County, North Carolina. They had seven children. In 1787 they migrated to Kentucky. Closs died in about 1800. Jane died in 1842 in Sharpsburg, Bath County, Kentucky. Descendants and relatives lived in Kentucky, Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas and elsewhere.
