Dr. Charles C. Wallin was the son of Joseph Wallin. Joseph Wallin was born in Warwickshire, England somewhere near Stratford-On-Avon. Joseph settled in Gilbertsville, New York and other members of the immediate and extended family settled near-by. In 1836 Charles Wallin moved his family to Michigan where he became prominent. Descendants live in Michigan, Illinois, and other parts of the United States.
