Johann Linnemann was born in 1759 at Veile, Denmark. He arrived in arrived in American, ca. 1768. In America he signed his name John Linman. He married Catharine Sixberry at Amsterdam, New York, in 1789. They had nine children. He died at Canajoharie, Montgomery County, New York, in 1813. His widow died at Streetsboro, Portage County, Ohio, in 1863, aged 101. Descendants lived in New York, Ohio, and elsewhere.

Lewis Hart was born in 1757 in Devizes, England. He emigrated shortly prior to the outbreak of the American Revolution. He settled at Stonington, Connecticut. He married Anne Elliott, daughter of of Asa Elliott and Mary Beebe, in 1784. They had eight children. He died in 1817 in Huntington, Connecticut. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Missouri.
