Henry F. Castor (b. 1953) and his sister Nancy J. Castor (b. 1958) were the children of Gaylord Bernard Castor (b. 1917) and Olive Ruth Ingrey (1921-1978). Their immigrant ancestors were Paulus Kuster/ Custard (1643-1707?) and Gertrude Doors, who immigrated from Germany about 1683 and settled in Germantown, Pennsylvania.

Benjamin Castor/Custard/Caster/Kaster (ca. 174l-1826) was the son of Conrad Custard and was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He was a Revolutionary War veteran. He and Ruth, his wife, had 10 children. Descendants and relatives lived in Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Tennessee, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, California and elsewhere. Some descendants also fought in the Civil war.

John Caster, Sr. (1754-1823), Noah Castor (1764-1829) and Arnold Caster (before 1765-ca. 1825) may not be related. Noah lived in Allegheny Co. Penn. in 1790. Noah, John and Arnold were in Beaver Co. in 1800. All three migrated to Ohio about 1811. Descendants and relatives lived in Ind., Mo., Tex.,Calif., and elsewhere.
