Hannah Martha Bowlby was born in about 1736 in Burlington, New Jersey. Her parents were John Bowlby and Mary Lanning. She married Edmund Palmer in about 1752. They had ten known children. The family moved to Rowan County, North Carolina in 1781. Traces Hannah's Bowlby ancestry in England and Palmer descendants and relatives in North Carolina, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Utah, Idaho and elsewhere.
