Jacob Jackson McGuire was born 26 November 1844 in Tazewell County, Virginia. His parents were John Nealy McGuire and Mary Asberry. He married Ellen Kilby (1845-1926), daughter of Abraham Kilby (1816-1895) and Naomi Sererna Dancy (1817-1867), in 1869. They had seven children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virgnina, North Carolina, Utah and Arizona.

James Scott (1798-1872) was born in Cabarrus Co., North Carolina, and died in DeSoto Co. (now Tate Co.), Miss. He married 1820 in Rowan Co., No. Carolina, Mary Rumple (1802-1863), the daughter of Phillip and Mary Magda Fries Rumple. She was born in North Carolina. John Hagerman Sr. (1725-1813) married Phoebe Ferguson and lived near Poughkeepsie, New York. He and at least one of his sons served with the British army during the Revolutionary War, and in 1784 the family immigrated to Canada as United Empire Loyalists. Daniel Ezekiel Greene was born in 1793 in Greenville County, South Carolina. He married Eustacia Andrews (1793-1876), daughter of John W. Andrews/Anders (1769-1844) and Elizabeth Abercrombie, in 1814 in Darlington District, South Carolina. They had fourteen children. He died in 1842 in Livingston, Alabama. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Alabama and Mississippi.

Hans Ulerich Fritz (b. ca. 1701) and his son, Wooldrich Fritz (b. ca. 1731), immigrated in 1738 from the Palatinate of Germany to Virginia. Wooldrich and his family later moved to North Carolina. Descendants lived throughout the United States.
