Robert Mutch Davidson, son of WIlliam Davidson and Nancy Jones, was born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland in about 1768. He emigrated in about 1786 and settled in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He married Jane Rider and they had seven children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Iowa.

James Ranson, son of Samuel Ranson and Ann Crabtree, was born in 1765 in Ackworth, Yorkshire, England. He married Elizabeth Lilly and they had six children. They emigrated in 1832 and settled in Morgan County, Illinois. He died in 1854 in Salem Township, Henry County, Iowa.

Biography of James Jackson Davidson who was born 30 June 1830 in Youngstown, Trumbull, Ohio. He was the son of George Washington Davidson and Nancy H. Lytle. James married Lydia Shepherd 4 September 1851 in Sycamore Grove, San Bernadino Co., California. He died 30 January 1906 in Colton, San Bernadino Co., California. Supplementary information includes a Davidson pedigree chart with mention of the Dutton, Shepherd and Teter surnames.

The surname Davidson or Davison is said to have originated from the Gaelic, MacDaibhidh. The name literally means the son of David or Davy. Two of the earliest Davisons in America were Nicholas Davison (1611-1664) and Daniel Davison (1630-1693) who settled in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Davisons also settled in Virginia, Maryland and New Jersey at a very early date. Descendants live throughout the United States.

William Crocker was born in Pennsylvania and was in Black Log Valley, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, ca. 1802. He later moved to Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania in 1842 where he died in 1855. His son, Joseph C. Crocker (1803-1873), married Sarah Davidson (1801-1871). Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, California, and elsewhere.

John Stahlman I was born about 1758 in Berks County, Pennsylvania. He served in the Revolutionary War and in the "Whiskey Rebellion". He met and married Eleanor (Nelena) Crory or McCrory. Eleanor was born between 1760-1765 in Berks County, Pennsylvania. She died sometime in 1843-1844 in Pennsylvania. They had ten children. John died in 1823 in Pennsylvania. Descendants have lived mainly in Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio.

Gresham Lee (b. ca. 1745) was born in what is now know as Buckingham, Virginia. He was probably married twice and had approximately six children.
