Francis Buckwalter (ca.1665-1723) emigrated from Switzerland to Germany in 1710, and later immigrated to Chester County, Pennsylvania in 1720. John Edwin Buckwalter Sr. (1834-1870), a direct descendant and a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, moved to American Fork, Utah and married Susan Morris in 1863. Descendants of John Edwin lived in Utah, Nevada, California, Oregon and elsewhere.

Abraham Hart (1839-1905) was born in Henderson, Pennsylvania. He married Euphemia Sparks (1840-1929) in 1866. Euphemia was the daughter of Benjamin and Phebe Jane Sparks. Family members and descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, California, and elsewhere.

Henry DeLong was born in Pennsylvania in 1834. His family was converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and moved first to Nauvoo where his parents died. Some of his siblings came west with the saints while Henry remained in Iowa with another family. After an unsettled adolescence he joined the Methodist faith, becoming a preacher. Jacob Richtstine (1756-1816) emigrated from Germany ca. 1774 and eventually settled in Berks County, Pennsylvania. He married Marie Catharine Keiser (1758-1835) and their descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, California, and elsewhere.

James Ward (1758-1848) was born in Fincastle County, Virginia. In 1803 he moved to the Kentucky side of the valley of the Big Sandy. In 1810 he married Elizabeth Williamson; they raised eleven children in Floyd, Lawrence, Johnson, and Martin counties. Other Ward families in this area of Kentucky include those of Solomon, Shadrack, Sarah Chapman, William, and Mary Williamson.

Johannes Fincken was born in about 1740 in Rheinland, Germany. He married Susanna Hoffman. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska and California.
