Arie Fransen (later Arie Fransen Langet) was probably born in the Netherlands and later immigrated to New York where he served in the New York Militia. His wife was Rachel Jans whom he married between 1679-1680. Arie was naturalized in Ulster County, New York 1 September 1687. He died between 1696-1698. Ralph DeLong was born 2 June 1803 in Oneida County, New York. His parents were Daniel Reggs Ralph DeLong and Polly. He married Mary Amanda Bunnell, daughter of Abel Bunnell and Silence Scott, in 1821. They had seven children. Ralph died 4 October 1845 in Nauvoo, Illinois. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Iowa and Utah.

Thomas Holmes is the progenitor of the Holmes family in this compilation and he was from Adams County Pennsylvania. He was married c 1770 to Sarah Means, daughter of Isaac Means of Menallen Twp., York Co., Pa. Born in England about 1740 and died at Carlisle, Pa. in 1817 as stated in an application made to the Daughters of the American Revolution. Holmes is also spelled Holm, Holme, Holms and Humes.

Zebina Rice was born October 16, 1787 in Conway, Franklin County, Massachusetts. His parents were Joel Rice and Lydia Farnsworth. He married Jael Fellows (1789-1822) in about 1808. They had four children. After Jael's death he married Mary Frost and Ann Dutton. Zebina died in 1873 in Clinton, Michigan. Descendants and relatives lived in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Michigan, Tennessee, New York and elsewhere.
