Irma Margaretha Dorothea Pape was born in Wisconsin in 1915. She lived on a farm until her marriage to Vincent Miller. They were the parents of two daughters. Information on her life, her ancestry and her descendants who now live in Wisconsin, and elsewhere is given in this volume. Her ancestry came to Iowa and Wisconsin from Germany and elsewhere. John Ables (Abless) was born Jan. 1, 1780 in Amsterdam, Holland. John came to America as a child, leaving Holland in 1783 and landing alone in Philadelphia in 1784. It is not known whether his mother departed with him and his father. It also appears that his father did not complete the journey.
