Irma Margaretha Dorothea Pape was born in Wisconsin in 1915. She lived on a farm until her marriage to Vincent Miller. They were the parents of two daughters. Information on her life, her ancestry and her descendants who now live in Wisconsin, and elsewhere is given in this volume. Her ancestry came to Iowa and Wisconsin from Germany and elsewhere.
Includes Pape, Ploog, Oelerich, Miller, Dearth, Bergert, and related families.

David Landis Sr. (1780-1870), his wife Nancy Ann/Annie Springer (1781- 1841), and their seven children lived in Lancaster Co., Penn. In 1837, they migrated to Montgomery Co., Ohio. " ... [B]oth are buried at the Happy Corners (Old Salem) Cemetery in Randolph Township, Montgomery Co., Ohio. Descendants remained chiefly in Ohio with some going to Illinois, Minnesota, Kentucky, Texas, North Dakota, Michigan, California, Nevada and elsewhere.

John Ables (Abless) was born Jan. 1, 1780 in Amsterdam, Holland. John came to America as a child, leaving Holland in 1783 and landing alone in Philadelphia in 1784. It is not known whether his mother departed with him and his father. It also appears that his father did not complete the journey. John married two wives: Ann Borton, who died in 1813 in Oxford Ohio & Alazannah Cochran who died Nov. 11, 1854 in Salem, Iowa. Mr. Ables (Abless) died Sept....
