Jacob/Moishe Goldstein (1887-1975), son of Herpin Goldstein and Freda Goldstein, married Fannie/Freda Schwartz (1892-1974), daughter of Mendel Schwartz, in Romania. They emigrated in 1920 and settled in Chicago, Illinois. They changed their name to Diamond.

John Diamond, son of Patrick Diamond, was born in 1750 in County Derry, Ireland. He married Elizabeth. He died in 1834 in Fayette County, Illinois. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Illinois, Mississippi, Louisiana and Oklahoma.

Patrick Dimond/Diamond/Dimon immigrated to America from Ireland sometime between 1757 and 1772. He married Sarah Stewart/Stuart and they had six children. Sarah died around Oct 1801 and Patrick died in Dec 1790 in Guilford County, North Carolina. Their children and descendants have lived in North Carolia, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Illinois, and other areas throughout the United States.

Charles Christopher Sutherland alias Diamond (1900-1956) was a descendant of John Sutherland, who emigrated from England about 1773. They were descendants of William Sutherland, 19th. Earl of Bath and Lady Jean Gordan. Charles married twice; Marie Mills and Dorothy Gertrude Chambers Huie. Descendants lived in Nevada, California and Oklahoma.

Samuel Widdicombe (1851-1937) immigrated from Portsea Island, near Portsmouth, England, to Canada in 1857 while he was still a child. He came with his parents, Robert Widdicombe and Elizabeth Bannister, and his brothers. The family settled in Ontario. In 1882 Samuel Widdicombe moved his family to Manitoba to homestead. Descendants lived in western Canada, California, Oklahoma and elsewhere.
