Joseph Snider, son of Jacob Snider, Sr. and Margaret, was born in Maryland or Virginia. He married Catherine Riner in 1792, daughter of Henry Riner and Elizabeth Henry, in 1792. They had four children. He married Catherine Evah, daughter of Jacob Evah, in 1799 in Providence Township, Bedford County, Pennsylvania. They had eight children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.

Marx Ilgenfritz (1550-1602) and his brother Paul Ilgenfritz (d.1600) were born in Oberwörnitz, Middle Franconia, Germany. Marx married Margaretha Hesenauer and the were the parents of seven children. George Linvell Hargis (1876-1967), son of William Hargis and Rachel Baker, was born in Somerset, Pulaski County, Kentucky. He married Arizona Miller (1881-1900), daughter of Harriet Miller, in 1898. They had one son. He married his wife's sister, Miranda Lucinda Miller (1884-1937), in 1902. They had six children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky and Illinois.

John Adam Diehl (1690-1755) was born in Unden Cappeln in the Rhine River Valley in Germany, the son of Hans George Diehl and Anna Catharina Hertz. In 1712 he married Maria Catherina Kreisher (b. 1696) of Homberg, daughter of John Daniel Kreisher and Anna Catherina Esch. In 1739 the entire family immigrated to America and settled in York County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, and elsewhere.

Jean Bertolet, son of Jean Bertolet, was born in the Chateau d' Oex in Switzerland, district of Bern. He later lived in Minfeld, Germany and was married to Susanna Harcourt. The family immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1726 where they settled in Oley, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Also includes family of Jean's brother, Peter, who immigrated to America prior to 1720.
