Samuel and Lydia (Brenneman) Diller lived in German Township, Allen County, Ohio. They married in 1888 and raised four children. Both families were Mennonites.

Michael Kainath, born January 29, 1720, was the son of Conrad Keinath. He was the first of his family to emigrate to America. He married Margaret Diller on 21 February 1749 at Staunton, Virginia. Three Croup brothers and a sister settled in Erie County, New York between 1806 and 1829. George (1770-1838) was born in Pennsylvania and married Martha in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Philip (1777-1862) married Mary Leopard. Mary (1790-1857) married Jacob A. Leopard. Jacob Croup was born in 1786 and married Catherine Shuman. Descendants lived in New York, Michigan, and elsewhere.

Johannes Frey (1758-1838) and Christian Frey, probably brothers, immigrated before 1785 from the Palatinate via Rotterdam to land in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Johannes was anglicized to John, and John married twice. Descendants and relatives listed lived chiefly in Pennsylvania.
