John Adam Steffen (ca. 1736-1802), a Revolutionary War soldier, was born in Germany or Switzerland and immigrated to America in 1750. He married Agnes Pfrang (ca. 1738-after 1822) in 1757 in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. They had eight children, ca. 1758-1779. He died in Snyder County, Pennsylvania. Descendants listed, especially descendants of his son, Frederick Steffen/Steffy (b. ca. 1762), lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio and elsewhere.

William Hamilton Crum was born 19 May 1825 in Scott County, Indiana. His parents were John Wesley Crum (1804-1892) and Kitty Ann Haymaker (1802-1833). He married Rebecca Ann McDonald in 1846. They had three children. He married Catherine Richey in 1853. They had five children. He died in 1895 in Missouri. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Indiana, Missouri and Oklahoma.

Johan Philip Braun (1697-1767), son of Johann Jost Braun, was born in Udenheim, Hessen, Germany. He immigrated to New York in 1709 with his family. He later settled in Pennsylvania. His wife, Elisabeth Magdalena Losch (1699-1763), was the daughter of John Balthaser Losch and Susanna Phillippina Gerina.
