Robert Stewart was born in 1755/56 in Ballymoran or Derryboye, County Down, Ireland. He came to America in 1776 and fought with the British Army. He settled in Charleston, South Carolina after the American Revolution. He married Mary Lyle in 1796. They had nine children. He died 16 July 1820. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived throughout Europe, in South Carolina, Georgia and elsewhere.

Charles Nathan Dodd was born 8 January 1857 in Freehold Township, Warren County, Pennsylvania. His parents were Nathan A. Dodd and Adeline Maynard. He married Bertha Ellen Raymond (1878-1938),daughter of Sears H. Raymond and Ellen A. Woods, 9 September 1878 in Columbus, Pennsylvania. They had three sons and a daughter. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut and England.
