George Farquhar was born in about 1769, probably in Kincardine, Scotland. His parents were probably William Farquhar and Isobel Widowson. He immigrated to Jamaica, where he married Eliza Yorke Cole 26 June 1794. They had seven children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Jamaica, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Australia.
