John Koontz (1839-1901) of Somerset County, Pennsylvania married Rachel Brubaker (1845-1929) in 1865. She was a descendant of John Hans Brubaker from Berne, Switzerland whose son, John Jacob Brubaker (1719-1804), was born in Lancaster Pennsylvania. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Iowa, Ohio, California, and elsewhere.

Johann Jakob Hamp was born in Eglosheim, Germany. He married Euphrosina (Ivey Rosanna) Kittelberger (1787-1879) in 1813. They immigrated to the United States in 1817 settling in Pennsylvania then Ohio. Descendants and relatives lived in Ohio, Michigan, California, Colorado and elsewhere. Includes ancestors to 1520. Descendents include members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Thomas Donnelly's family migrated, in the early 1700s, to Belmont, County Galway, Ireland from Cremlin or Bellingram, next to Cullaum in County Mayo, a place about five miles beyond Ballindine. Thomas and his wife Mary Dowd Donnelly, who came from Kilshanvy (or Kilshanby), Kilcony, had eight children. Thomas died when the oldest boy Patrick was 16 years of age, or 1857.
