William Woodburn Russler (1833-1911) was born Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, the son of Benjamin Russler (1803- 1879) and Ann Dorland Russler (1813-1884). He married Catharine Ann Davidson (1834-1906), daughter of Samuel I. and Catharine Bolich Davidson, in 1855 at Freeport, Illinois. They had twelve children 1856-1877. He died at Bushnell, Illinois.
