William Hyde I (d.1681) immigrated in 1633 from England to Newton, Massachusetts, and moved with Rev. Thomas Hooker to Hartford, Connecticut in 1636. Later he moved to Saybrook, and about 1660 to Norwich, Connecticut. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and elsewhere. Lists other Hyde immigrants, without tracing any relatationships to William Hyde I.

John Wall, son of John Wall, was born 3 February 1759 in Nine Partners, New York. He served in the Revolutionary War. He married Sally Riker (1769-1847) in about 1788 in Maine. They had ten children.
