Description
In the 1790's census there were several Drye's listed. It is the view of the author that these 4 men, Owen , Martin, Andrew and Phillip were the first Drye's in the area and were probably related although a relationship has not year been confirmed. Information on the Solomen Drye family is also included along with interesting data on other family members. Descendants have remained in North Carolina generally.
